Drawing club- Goldilocks and the Three Bears

 We started to look at the story Goldilocks and the Three Bears in drawing club today. Lots of children were already familiar with the story but enjoyed the retelling. We had a go at drawing a character from the story, and used a magic code to imagine the character coming to life and doing something. Lots of the class were keen for the magic code to enable baby bears porridge bowl to be refilled so he wouldn’t be sad anymore- great empathy guys!

 Today your child should be bringing home a plastic folder with a 'reading book' in it. At the moment these books don't have words in them but are a chance for you to share the pictures, discuss what is happening and spot different objects. As we start to learn our sounds, we will introduce books with words in them.  In the folder there will also be the sounds we have looked at this week.
