Early Years Blog 2025/26

 We celebrated Bonfire Night with some colourful firework printing at the creative table, then wrapped up the day watching dazzling fireworks while sipping warm hot chocolate. 

 

 This week we have been finding out about the Hindu festival of Diwali. This festival is sometimes known as the ‘festival of lights’ as people like to decorate their homes and gardens with hundreds of candles and lights to welcome in good luck for the coming year. We have enjoyed learning songs, making pictures and creating our own diva candle pots using clay. I think you’ll agree they look fantastic! 

 Today we have been looking at our tricky words. And today we had a visit from Tricky Trevor who tried to help us to remember those words that cannot be easily sounded out! 

 We’ve had lots of fun outside in the autumn fun this week!
